Russian occupation forces again attacked the Mykolaiv region with strike drones overnight and in the early morning. The shelling caused a fire at a construction supply store in Snigurivka, and a warehouse in Nova Odesa was damaged. The threat of new strikes persisted into the morning.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

According to the Regional Military Administration, on the night of July 1 and in the early morning hours, the Russian army attacked the region with Shahed-type attack drones.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched four attacks using FPV drones against the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities in the Mykolaiv district.

According to local authorities, no one was injured as a result of these strikes. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

As specified by the State Emergency Service, a large-scale fire broke out at a construction supply store in the town of Snigurivka as a result of the enemy attack. Firefighters from the State Emergency Service extinguished the blaze, which covered an area of 5,000 square meters.

During the operation, rescuers took the security situation into account due to the threat of a repeat enemy strike.

Twenty rescue workers and five pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Service were deployed to address the aftermath of the attack.

However, the attack did not end there. At 08:40, the Ukrainian Air Force reported new jet-powered drones heading toward the Mykolaiv region from the Black Sea.

Due to this new threat, an air raid alert was declared in the Mykolaiv and Voznesensk districts of the region. Ukrainians are urged not to ignore air raid sirens and to remain in shelters until the all-clear is given.

The Mykolaiv region comes under Russian attack almost daily. Recently, in the Bashtanka district, a warehouse belonging to an agricultural enterprise was damaged by a drone strike and falling debris, causing a fire.

In addition, in the Mykolaiv district, Russian occupiers attacked a civilian vehicle with an FPV drone. Two local residents—a 68-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman—were injured and hospitalized.
