During the active phase of the war that Russia unleashed against Ukraine, at least 1,241 Russian army soldiers from units stationed in occupied Crimea were killed. 778 of them were probably Ukrainian citizens. The death toll may be higher, as Russia conceals its real losses. Russia also plans to forcibly mobilize 3000 Crimean residents into the ranks of its army.

This was reported by the press service of the Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The post says that at least 40 Russian servicemen from the occupied Crimea have been confirmed captured, most of whom are likely to be Ukrainian citizens.

It is also noted that within the framework of the so-called "autumn conscription", which began on October 1, Russia plans to forcibly mobilize 3,000 Crimean residents into the ranks of its army. This is the 20th coercive campaign on the peninsula, which not only violates international law and the Geneva Convention, but also aims to suppress any resistance and change the demographic composition of the peninsula by involving men in an aggressive war against Ukraine.

The press service added that the occupation administration continues to implement a set of measures to strengthen the protection of the illegal"Kerch bridge". To increase security, massive metal fences are being built along the bridge to protect its pillars from potential attacks. Additionally, concrete tetrapods and metal anti-tank barriers are being installed in the water area around the bridge.

Earlier it was reported that at the end of September, at least 1223 Russian army soldiers were buried in the temporarily occupied Crimea. 769 of them were probably Ukrainian citizens. The capture of at least 40 Russian servicemen from the occupied Crimea has been confirmed, most of whom are likely to be Ukrainian citizens.
