On July 30, members of the Mykolaiv City Council approved a resolution to transfer a plot of land located along the M-14 Odesa–Melitopol–Novoazovsk state highway within the city limits of Mykolaiv from municipal to state ownership.

This was announced during a session broadcast by Intent.

The plot in question is an undeveloped parcel of land measuring 58,553 square meters, located beneath a section of the state highway. The transfer will take place pursuant to a deed of transfer.

As explained, this will bring land-use legal relations into compliance with the status of the state highway and ensure its continued proper maintenance and development.

Before the issue was brought to the session, it was reconsidered and approved by the City Council’s Committee on Ecology and Natural Resource Use. The need for reconsideration arose because the draft resolution had previously failed to secure a sufficient number of votes either during the session or during the committee’s first vote.

During the committee’s first meeting, five council members supported the draft, while one abstained. After one of the council members reported that she had mistakenly voted for the wrong draft resolution, the issue was put to a second vote. On the second vote, all six committee members supported the transfer of the land plot.

Meanwhile, the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Mykolaiv region continues to implement road repair projects. Since the beginning of 2026, it has announced tenders worth billions of hryvnias for the repair of roads and bridges and the maintenance of transportation infrastructure.

In particular, more than 288 million hryvnias are planned to be allocated for the repair of two sections of the M-14 international highway (Odesa–Melitopol–Novoazovsk).

One of the tenders covers the repair of the section from km 69+570 to km 74+310 for 119.5 million hryvnias, while the other covers the section from km 85+000 to km 92+605, with an estimated cost of 168.6 million hryvnias.
