Three schools in Izmail have summarized the results of an open tender to select a contractor to carry out repairs at the expense of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The total amount is UAH 1.3 million.

This is reported by Intent with reference to the public procurement website Prozorro.

The victory in all three tenders as the only bidder, i.e. without competition, was won by the private enterprise Rodnik of MP Igor Dekhtyarev, a member of the Izmail City Council.

As part of the two procurements worth UAH 420 thousand each, each contractor has until June 30 this year to repair stationary boiler rooms at primary school No. 4 and at the gymnasium with primary school No. 11.

The boiler rooms are to be repaired with a range of internal repairs. The project involves repairing ceilings, walls and floors, replacing windows and doors, and laying ceramic tiles. In addition, the contractor will upgrade the water supply system and electrical wiring, install lighting and sockets. Partial repairs of the facade and removal of construction waste are also planned.

Rodnik will receive another 420 thousand hryvnias for the current repairs to replace windows with energy-efficient ones in gymnasium No. 3. The windows will be installed with improved heat-saving characteristics.

The project involves the dismantling of twelve old windows, window sills and flashings and the installation of new metal-plastic window units. It is also planned to arrange interior and exterior slopes - plastering, puttying and painting surfaces.
The term of work is similar to previous tenders.

The repairs are planned as part of the program implemented in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1713 of December 19, 2025. It provides for a one-time financial assistance of UAH 420 thousand to each selected educational institution as part of a joint project between the government and UNICEF. In total, about 1500 schools and kindergartens in different regions of Ukraine are planned to be supported in the 2025-2026 academic year.
