Izmail decided to turn a children's rehabilitation center into housing for IDPs for more than 5 million

The city of Izmail, Odesa region, has started looking for a contractor for the current repair of the building and premises of the temporary accommodation center for IDPs in the municipal institution "Izmail City Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children".

This is reported by Intent with reference to the public procurement website Prozorro.

According to the procurement data, the work is planned to be carried out in a building at 20 Kafedralna Street. The expected cost of the repair is UAH 5 million 26 thousand 947. Funding is provided from the local budget.

Interested parties can submit their bids until May 4. The contractor must complete the work by December 31, 2026.

According to the technical documentation, the project involves a significant amount of repair work. In particular, it is planned to completely repair the roof with the dismantling of the old asbestos-cement sheeting, restoration of the rafter system, and installation of a new metal roof. It is also planned to install drainage pipes and gutters.

In addition, some doors and windows are to be replaced, slopes are to be repaired, and the facade is to be restored, including dismantling of old plaster, new plastering, puttying, priming, and painting. Separately, the repair of decorative elements of the facade is envisaged.

The project also includes repairing the basement, arranging the entrance to the basement, restoring the porch and stairs, laying tiles, installing metal railings, and installing a roof. After the works are completed, the building will be used as a temporary accommodation for internally displaced or evacuated persons. Currently, the facility has 20 beds for guests.
