Experts from the Ministry of Health have taken 112 water samples from rivers and reservoirs within official beach areas in Ukraine, including beaches in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, 23 samples (20.5%) did not meet sanitary standards for microbiological indicators.

In particular, experts from the laboratories of the regional centers for disease control and prevention (CDC) recorded an excess of the LPC index - lactose-positive E. coli.

Thus, the water within the beaches of the cities of Pervomaisk and Nova Odesa on the Pivdennyi Buh River in Mykolaiv Oblast meets the standards. At the same time, swimming is prohibited in Mykolaiv region's water bodies in accordance with an order from the regional military administration.

In Odesa region, according to the Ministry, the water within the beaches of Odesa is safe for swimming: "Lanzheron, Vidrada, Luzanivka, Dolphin, Arcadia, 10th station of the Big Fountain, 13th station of the Big Fountain, 16th station of the Big Fountain.

In Odesa district, the water is safe within the beaches:

As of July 10, seven city beaches were open in Odesa, and 27 private beaches were opened and operating.

There are also two beaches in Odesa region: one in Chornomorsk (Central Beach) and one in Izmail district in the village of Prymorske. The beaches in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district are not open.

According to the order of the Odesa Operational and Tactical Group and Odesa Regional Military Administration, recreation is allowed on 26 beach areas. All of them have been inspected and meet sanitary requirements and wartime conditions.
