The illusion of peace in Crimea: the occupiers do not raise the alarm in Yalta

(COLLAGE: Chas.news)

Yalta has not raised an air raid alert since the beginning of the full-scale war - even during attacks on military facilities. The occupiers deliberately hush up the danger to create an illusion of calm for tourists and Russian propaganda.

This was reported by the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement, citing the testimony of local residents.

Since February 2022, the resort of Yalta has never declared an air raid alert - even during attacks on military facilities in Crimea.

According to residents, the sirens are silent not only in the city center, but also near the locations of anti-aircraft installations and aviation units. This is despite frequent explosions on the peninsula and the active work of Ukrainian drones.

The occupation authorities are apparently deliberately ignoring the threats in order not to spoil the demonstrative atmosphere of security for tourists and propaganda stories. The warning systems remain outdated, and the Kremlin has not yet sent the collaborators new rules.

The movement noted that this fact only emphasizes that the lives of civilians are secondary to the invaders. The main thing is to make everything look calm and safe on camera.

On the night of June 28, Ukrainian drones attacked the Kirovske military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the strikes targeted enemy aircraft, air defense systems, ammunition depots, and positions of reconnaissance and strike UAVs.

In May, Ukrainian forces destroyed the second Russian aircraft in a day, as well as military depots on the peninsula. The unique operation in the Black Sea resulted in the elimination of an enemy Su-30 by a maritime drone, the first of its kind in the world.

Earlier, in March, the DIU's special forces struck a powerful blow against enemy infrastructure in Crimea. During the operation, Ukrainian Prymary drones destroyed several Russian radars used to detect targets in the air and on the water. The cost of the destroyed equipment reached tens of millions of dollars.
