The case regarding the return of land in the Skadovsk District of the Kherson Region to state ownership is set to begin. The court has concluded the preliminary proceedings and scheduled a hearing for November 18.

This is stated in a ruling by the Commercial Court of Odesa Oblast dated October 28.

The lawsuit was filed by the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office on behalf of the state, represented by the Kherson Regional State Administration. The defendants in the case are the Chulakivka Village Council, the Chulakivka Village Military Administration, and the Skadovsk District State Administration.

Prosecutors are demanding that the state registrations of the land plots be revoked and that the land be seized in favor of the state. According to law enforcement officials, the registration and transfer of these lands were carried out in violation of the law.

This concerns 10 separate forest-use land plots with a total area of over 20 hectares and a value of 613,000 hryvnias. The case file states that the District Administration (formerly the Holoprystansk District Administration, now the Skadovsk District Administration), acting unilaterally and exceeding its authority, seized these lands from the state-owned enterprise “Zbur’iv Forestry and Hunting Enterprise,” changed its designated use, and transferred it without the state’s consent.
