Another high-ranking official is leaving the Odesa City Council. City Hall confirmed that Alexander Tykhovsky , the executive committee’s chief of staff, has submitted his resignation.

This information was confirmed to Intento by the Odesa City Council.

City Hall reported that the official decided to step down due to family circumstances. No other reasons for his resignation were cited.

At the same time, various theories regarding the possible motives for his resignation have already emerged in the media. In particular, journalist Iryna Hryb reported that, according to unconfirmed information, Tykhovsky may have been under investigation by the Security Service of Ukraine.

However, the author herself emphasized that she has no confirmation of this information, so for now it remains mere speculation. As of the time of publication, there had been no official statements from law enforcement agencies regarding any investigative actions against the official or the issuance of a formal notice of suspicion.

Oleksandr Tykhovskyi worked for a long time within the Odesa City Council. In November 2025, he became acting chief of staff of the executive committee after stepping down from his position as director of the city council’s organizational department.

According to his most recent declaration, filed after his dismissal from his previous position, the official declared two apartments, an Audi A5, and income received while working at the city council.

Last November, Tikhovsky was dismissed from his position as director of the Department for the Organization of the Odesa City Council’s Work, but the very next day he became acting chief of staff of the executive committee.
