TCC employee in Odesa detained for promising to postpone mobilization for money

Employees of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police in Odesa region detained a clerk of the military registration and reservation department of one of the district territorial centers for recruitment and social support in Odesa.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Oblast.

According to the investigation, the 30-year-old woman asked for an undue advantage from an acquaintance of a man liable for military service who was brought to the RTCS and the JV after being put on the wanted list for violating the rules of military registration. In exchange for a monetary reward, the woman offered to assist in the production of new military registration documents and obtaining a deferral from mobilization, noting that she could influence the right official authorized to make such decisions.

Initially, she set a condition to provide $5,000 for her services, but later reduced the amount to $700. The police detained the woman after she received the entire agreed amount of money on her bank card in several transfers.

Investigators notified the suspect that she was suspected of receiving an illegal benefit. If found guilty, the woman faces a fine of two thousand to five thousand five hundred tax-free minimum incomes or imprisonment for a term of two to five years.

In Odesa, SBU officers also detained military officers of the alert group of the territorial center for manning and social support on suspicion of illegal deprivation of liberty and extortion. During mobilization activities in the Kyiv district of Odesa, they illegally deprived a man of his liberty and put him on a bus. Using physical coercion, they drove him around the city for about an hour. During this, they demanded 6 thousand US dollars from him for not bringing him to the district TCC.
