Shelling in Kirovohrad region delays Odesa trains for two hours

Trains running in the Odesa direction in the Kirovohrad region were delayed for more than two hours due to Russian shelling.

However, as a result of the shelling at night, the railway infrastructure was damaged and fires broke out. The fires were extinguished and no one was injured, but the networks were de-energized and trains continued to run with the help of backup diesel locomotives.

On the night of October 24, Russians attacked the Kirovohrad region. The attack resulted in fires in several locations. According to Andriy Raikovych, head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, the occupiers hit critical infrastructure facilities in the Novoukrainsky district. People were not injured due to the timely transfer to shelters.

Also, passengers of the train #92/91 Kramatorsk - Odesa - Kramatorsk continued their travels by bus due to shelling in Kharkiv region. In the Kharkiv region, Russian shelling damaged the railway infrastructure and power grids in the Lozova district yesterday.

Earlier at night and in the morning of October 22, Russians also damaged energy and port infrastructure in Odesa region, and residential buildings and social facilities in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

On the night of October 13, shelling in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi damaged an energy infrastructure facility, destroyed the canteen building of a recreation center, which caught fire, and damaged a two-story administrative building, a hotel, and several private homes nearby. A 34-year-old woman was injured in the night attack and hospitalized with injuries from her private home.
