Sevastopol has implemented strict power outage schedules

In occupied Sevastopol, a new schedule of power restrictions went into effect on the morning of August 11. Local consumers are being switched to a schedule of six hours without power and two hours with power.

This was reported by Krym.Realii, citing the occupying company “Sevastopolenergo.”

The company explained that due to a significant power shortage in Crimea’s power grid, it has become impossible to adhere to the previous “3 on, 3 off” schedule. Company employees are switching power lines to distribute the available power among consumers.

At the same time, the “Sevastopolenergo” statement notes that a “2 out of 6” schedule is effectively being implemented—two hours with power and six hours without.

The difficult situation is not limited to Sevastopol. Another Russian company—“Krymenergo”—reports that a significant portion of occupied Crimea remains without a stable power supply.

According to the company, due to damage to Krymenergo’s facilities and main power lines, it is impossible to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to a number of settlements. Power outages are being implemented depending on the current situation in the power grid.

Recently,Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, announced a new phase of Operation “Crimean Circuit Breaker Off.” According to him, over the past 72 hours, UAS units have struck 13 more energy facilities in the temporarily occupied territories.

Earlier, large-scale power outages occurred in the north and northwest of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Power was cut off in a number of cities and districts across the peninsula, and rolling blackouts were implemented in the Bakhchysarai district.
