On August 24, Russian troops launched artillery strikes and two attacks with FPV drones on the Kutsurubska community in Mykolaiv region. The shelling damaged power lines in the village of Dmytrivka, which cut off power to 113 subscribers.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

Emergency crews are currently working to restore power supply. According to official reports, there were no casualties.

On July 21, Russian troops fired FPV drones and artillery at the Kutsurubska community in Mykolaiv region. As a result, about 150 consumers in the village of Dmytrivka lost power.

Itis not the first time that critical energy infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv region have suffered from massive Russian shelling. A year ago, emergency power outages were recorded due to attacks by the Russian army, which resulted in the suspension of tram and trolleybus services in Mykolaiv and the closure of educational institutions.

In total, according to the Ministry of Energy, since the beginning of 2024, more than 2,000 settlements in Ukraine have lost power as a result of Russian attacks, mostly in the east and south of the country. Dnipropetrovska, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions were the most affected.

At a meeting of the Standing Committee on Planning, Budget and Finance of the Odesa City Council, deputies supported the allocation of the first UAH 60 million for the Odesa City Heat Supply Utility to buy new cogeneration units to create its own generation within the city.

During the discussion, the deputies suggested paying attention to available lending mechanisms, including the government's 5-7-9 program, and considering the possibility of attracting grants and assistance from the Cabinet of Ministers and specialized funds that support energy autonomy projects.
