Russian Shelling in Kherson: 1 Dead, Multiple Injured in February Attack

On the night of February 14, a local resident was killed in the Russian shelling of the Dniprovsky district of Kherson.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, a 72-year-old man sustained fatal injuries as a result of an enemy strike on a private house. Rescuers unblocked his body from the rubble. Another resident of Kherson was injured as a result of artillery shelling. He sustained a mine-blast injury. The 50-year-old man was taken to a hospital, and doctors are providing him with the necessary assistance.

In total, from February 23 to 24, Russian troops shelled residential areas of the region's settlements, damaging a multi-storey building and 19 private houses. The occupiers also damaged trade kiosks, a gas pipeline and a private car. As a result of Russian aggression, 1 person was killed and 3 others were wounded.

Antonivka, Ivanivka, Inzhenerne, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Rozlyv, Romashkove, Sadove, Tokarivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Stanislav, Zymivnyk came under enemy fire and air strikes, Mykilske, Mykilski Dachi, Novotyanka, Beryslav, Burgunka, Virivka, Kachkarivka, Lvov, Mykolaivka, Mylove, Mykhailivka, Olgivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Zmiivka, Novoraysk, Vesele, Kozatske and the city of Kherson.

Around 9:30, Russian occupation forces attacked Romashkove with a UAV. The enemy drone flew into the window of a residential building. As a result of the explosion, a 48-year-old woman sustained mine-blast trauma, contusion, and shrapnel wounds to her torso, arms, and legs. In the afternoon, a man was injured in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson as a result of a Russian drone attack. The 45-year-old Kherson resident, who was hit by the occupiers' explosives, sustained a mine-blast trauma, chest wounds, and traumatic amputation of his legs.

Yesterday, on February 22, the Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a civilian car in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. A 58-year-old man sustained mine-blast trauma, as well as shrapnel wounds to his back and head. He is currently under medical supervision. On the night of February 20, a powerful explosion shook Kherson - a Russian guided aerial bomb hit a ten-story building. The strike completely destroyed 15 apartments in the building - from the first to the tenth floor. Windows in another 80 apartments were smashed.

In total, in the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells "flew" to the Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents during that month.
