Kherson Approves 96 Million for the Municipal Guard

The Kherson City Military Administration has approved a program to support the operations of the “Municipal Guard” public utility for 2027–2029. The plan is to allocate 96 million hryvnias from the budget of the Kherson City Territorial Community to implement this program.

The corresponding order was signed by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration.

The document provides for funding the program over three years—32 million hryvnias annually.

The program states that “Municipal Guard” is to ensure compliance with public order and beautification regulations, protect municipal property, and assist law enforcement agencies in ensuring public safety and preventing offenses.

The enterprise’s tasks also include patrolling the streets to identify violations of public order and beautification rules, assisting the National Police in detecting and solving crimes, searching for perpetrators, as well as preventing violations of the rules governing the use of electricity, water, and gas.

Separately, the document provides for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for remote inspection of facilities and territories. Additionally, the “Municipal Guard” is to provide emergency assistance to people who have been victims of accidents or offenses.

The program will be funded from the budget of the Kherson City Territorial Community. In the document’s financial plan, all 96 million hryvnias are earmarked specifically for personnel compensation: 32 million each in 2027, 2028, and 2029
