Russian military shell Kherson from drones: two people wounded

At about 11:40 a.m. on August 18, 2024, the Russian military once again attacked the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, dropping explosives from a drone on a street in the city.

This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Kherson region and the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Roman Mrochko.

According to Mrochko, two people who were on the street at the time were injured because of the aggression of the Russian military, who dropped explosives from a drone on civilians. A 61-year-old woman sustained explosive and closed head injuries, contusion and shrapnel wounds to her leg. A 40-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds to the face and an explosive injury.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers , are documenting the consequences of the shelling. Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Region Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war has been initiated.

Yesterday, on August 17, FPV drones struck the building of the starosta and a kindergarten in Zolota Balka. Also, two people were wounded due to constant shelling by the Russian army of Kherson region.

In Kherson , the Ostrov neighborhood was under enemy artillery fire. And Antonivka was also attacked by Russian drones from morning to evening. A 51-year-old woman was injured as a result of the UAV 's ammunition drops and subsequent explosions, and two cars and a store were damaged.

The day before, on August 16, the Russian military shelled Kherson region once again. As a result of Russian aggression, 6 people were injured, including 1 child. In addition, they hit a critical infrastructure facility, educational institutions; residential areas of the region's settlements, including a multi-storey building and 22 private houses. The occupants also damaged a gas pipeline, private cars and a rescue vehicle.
