The court seized the property of a Kherson resident who had been spreading Russian propaganda on social media for years. He paid for the posts "about the liberation of Kyiv" and fictional stories about supporting Russia with an apartment and a car.
This is evidenced by the decision of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.
According to the investigation, since March 2022, the man has been actively maintaining a page on the Odnoklassniki social network, where he regularly published texts that repeat key messages of Kremlin propaganda. He described the war as a "liberation" and predicted the fall of the capital, saying that "Kyiv will be liberated soon" and Russia will "destroy Nazism in 2022."
At the same time, he justified the invasion, claiming that Russia had allegedly "brought troops into its territory." And in other posts, he denied the existence of Ukraine altogether, listing cities and claiming that they were "created by Russian tsars," and then asking a rhetorical question: "where is Ukraine?".
At the same time, he was actively spreading fakes about the situation in Ukraine. In particular, he reposted a fictitious "cry from Kyiv" in which, on behalf of allegedly local residents, it was claimed that they were "waiting for liberation from the Nazis," were afraid to tell the truth, and were "praying for the Russian military."
The same text described the alleged food collapse in the capital - "queues and empty shelves", fear of looting, and even faith in "Putin and brotherly Russia" to "save".
In addition, the suspect distributed publications about the Russian military from different regions of Russia, in particular from Buryatia, where he described them as close-knit fighters ready to "stand up for each other" and called on them to "take care of themselves."
His feed also regularly featured stories about Donbass as the "heart of Russia" and presented the war as "just a struggle" and a continuation of the historical mission against "Nazism." He also spread disinformation about the fighting, such as statements about the alleged destruction of Ukrainian air defense systems near Mykolaiv, accompanied by glorification of the Russian army.
The man was served with a notice of suspicion in March 2026. To prevent the alienation of the property, investigators went to court. The judge granted the motion. His share in a three-room apartment in Kherson and a 2000 Skoda Felicia were seized.
Also in March, in Kherson, the court arrested the equipment of a resident of the city. She is suspected of distributing materials justifying Russian aggression against Ukraine.
