"The children were running away, and the Russian operator struck at them. The teenagers received shrapnel wounds," the activist was outraged.

Last week, in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson, Russians dropped explosives from a UAV on two 16-year-old boys who were riding mopeds on their way to work. One of them sustained an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his leg.

Andriy recalls that he did not immediately realize he was wounded.

"I stopped on the roadside and ran to the building. Only then did I see that my leg was injured," the teenager said.

His friend Potap was driving behind him, so he was more fortunate. Doctors diagnosed him with an explosive injury and contusion.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion in Kherson region , 229 children have been injured. Of these, 39 were killed and 190 sustained injuries of varying severity. This happened due to numerous war crimes that were recorded by the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. In total, more than a thousand criminal proceedings have been registered, of which 294 relate to crimes directly against children.

Most often, these crimes are related to the violent actions of the Russian military: shelling, forced displacement of children, deportation to the occupied territories of the Russian Federation, as well as sexual violence and intentional murder. So far, six Russian military personnel have been prosecuted for crimes against children, five of the accused have already been brought to court, and one case is still ongoing. In addition, 74 criminal proceedings have already been initiated on the facts of forced displacement of children.
