Russian attacks in the Kherson region killed three people and wounded 25

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have been continuously shelling the right bank of the Kherson region, using artillery, various types of drones, and guided aerial bombs. Kherson and 16 other settlements came under attack, resulting in fatalities and dozens of injuries.

This was reported by the police press service.

According to law enforcement officials, at least 50 structures were damaged as a result of the shelling:

• 21 private homes;
• nine apartment buildings;
• 13 vehicles, including two police patrol cars;
• an administrative building, a high school, a hospital, and a kindergarten.

On the morning of August 29, in the Korabelny district of Kherson, a Russian FPV drone struck a car. A 61-year-old man suffered blast injuries and chest wounds. He made his way to the hospital on his own, but doctors were unable to save him.

The second victim was a 36-year-old rescuer with the State Emergency Service. The drone attacked the car in which he was traveling with a colleague. The man sustained severe chest injuries and died despite medical personnel’s attempts to stabilize him. His 35-year-old colleague, who suffered severe abdominal injuries, was taken to the hospital.

The same attack also affected four civilians at a public transportation stop—two women and two men aged 47 to 60. Two of them were hospitalized, while the other two received outpatient treatment.

On the evening of August 28, Russian forces dropped explosives on a private home. A 36-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son were injured. The woman sustained shrapnel wounds to her chest and lower leg, while the child suffered injuries to his neck, torso, and limbs. Both were taken away by ambulance.

Over the past 24 hours, at least 15 more people aged 32 to 86 were injured—in the Dniprovskyi and Tsentralnyi districts of Kherson, as well as in Antonivka, Ingulets, Bilozerka, and Komyshany. People sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and concussions from attacks by FPV drones, the dropping of explosives, and artillery shelling.

In Antonivka, in addition to the drone attack, the Russians carried out an airstrike with a guided bomb, damaging civilian infrastructure. In Kherson, a “Molniya” drone struck a hospital building; there were no casualties. In Bilozerka, a gymnasium caught fire as a result of the strike.

Drone attacks and artillery shelling were also reported in Novoraysk, Charivne, Kostyrka, Novovorontsovka, and Khreshchenivka, where residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Two residents of Kherson, who had been wounded in previous days, also sought treatment at hospitals.

In addition, police confirmed the death of a 48-year-old Kherson resident—she was injured on August 19 as a result of a drone attack on a shuttle bus and died in the hospital from her injuries.

Police officers, rescue workers, and medical personnel were on the scene of the attacks.
