It was proved that the convict actively collaborated with the enemy during the temporary occupation of Kherson. He held the position of the so-called "acting director of the state unitary enterprise Kherson Heat Networks," which was subordinated to the "Department of Fuel and Energy Complex" of the occupation administration of Kherson region. The man registered the enterprise under Russian law and organized its work. Part of the company's profits went to the budget of the occupation authorities.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU investigators in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that Gennadiy Shchurov, a candidate for the position of the head of Khersonteploenergo, declared land and business registered in Crimea. It is noted that Shchurov listed a 700 m2 land plot in Sevastopol and a 48 m2 apartment in Dnipro as real estate. He also owns 50% in the authorized capital of the company Specialized Company Slavutych LLC, which is also registered in Sevastopol.
