Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a local resident was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of implementing the educational standards of the occupiers and aiding the aggressor state.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, in July 2022, the 55-year-old man took up the position of the so-called 'director' of the illegally established Holoprystan School No. 1. In December of the same year, the traitor registered the institution in the Russian register of legal entities and fully implemented the educational programs of the Russian Federation in the educational process.

The new 'head' was introduced to the teaching staff in the presence of representatives of the occupation authorities and Russian special services. Then the collaborator announced that from now on, education and document flow would be conducted in Russian using Russian textbooks. Later, he called on teachers and technical staff to join the illegal institution.

The suspect ordered the placement of Russian symbols in the school, distributed tricolors to first-graders on Knowledge Day, and ordered Ukrainian textbooks to be removed from the library. Some of these books were later burned. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson region.

Earlier, the court sentenced another man to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property, and in particular, deprived him of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative and economic functions in state bodies, local governments or bodies providing public services, and to participate in the electoral process for a period of 13 years.

The prosecutor proved that in 2023, the collaborator ran for the so-called deputy council of the Hornostayivska village community from the United Russia party. After being elected, he headed the 'commission' on land and agriculture, thereby facilitating the functioning of the occupation authorities in the community.
