Racist troops shoot at school and hospital in Kherson

Overnight, Russian troops attacked Kherson region with drones and artillery. Residential buildings, a hospital and a school were damaged, one person was killed and 13 others were injured.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

Between August 31 and September 1, 2025, 38 settlements in the Kherson region were hit by Russian drones and artillery. Among them are Bilozerka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Antonivka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Zmiivka, and Kherson.

The occupiers shelled residential areas, critical and social infrastructure facilities. The attacks damaged four multi-story buildings and 14 private houses, as well as outbuildings, a garage and several cars.

The shelling killed one person and injured 13 others.

The day before, on August 30, a guided aerial bomb hit the area of the railway station, destroying a non-residential two-story building. Around six in the morning on August 31, Bilozerka came under fire, where a 56-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man suffered mine-blast injuries and contusions.

At around 10:00, the Russian army shelled the central district of Kherson, covering the city with artillery fire. One of the medical institutions was hit, where a 54-year-old man sustained a shrapnel wound to his abdomen. In addition, five other residents of Kherson were injured in the shelling. The men aged 36, 47 and 57 were taken to the hospital, one of them sustained a shrapnel wound to the head and a shoulder injury.

The enemy shelling damaged a medical and educational institution, an administrative building and a residential building. The emergency crew provided assistance to two more men, aged 63 and 69, on the spot. Two residents of Kherson, aged 28 and 37, who were injured in the night shelling, were also admitted to the hospital.

In Dniprovsky district, a woman was killed by an explosive device dropped from a drone. A 64-year-old woman from Kherson was also treated for explosive and craniocerebral injuries and contusion. In the Central district, an elderly 77-year-old woman came under fire, and a 57-year-old man sustained a mine-blast injury.

On the night of August 28, Russian troops carried out a massive shelling of Ukraine, firing hundreds of drones and missiles of various types. There were civilian casualties, including children, while Ukrainian air defense destroyed most of the enemy targets.
