Following a public prosecution by prosecutors of the Kherson Regional and Oleshky District Prosecutor's Offices, the former director of a lyceum was found guilty of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state (Part 3 of Article 111-1, Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The court sentenced the former director to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. Additionally, she was deprived of the right to hold positions related to state power, local self-government and organizational and administrative functions for a period of 15 years.

Prosecutors proved that during the temporary occupation of the village of Bilozerka (Kherson region), the convicted person cooperated by taking the pseudo-director's position of the seized lyceum in July 2022, which she renamed Bilozerka School No. 1 named after Pechersky.

In this pseudo-position, she was actively involved in the implementation of educational standards of the Russian Federation, placed symbols of the aggressor country, organized the recruitment of employees and sent teachers for "retraining" to Crimea, thus contributing to the implementation of the occupation policy.

Earlier, under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor 's Office, a local resident was served in absentia a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 5, 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and justification of Russia's armed aggression.

In August 2022, the 58-year-old suspect became the head of the so-called 'Novooleksandrivske Territorial Administration of the Kalanchak Military Administration of the Kherson Region'. In this position, he not only organized the work of the illegal authority, but also directly contributed to the resettlement of the Russian military in the homes of local residents who were forced to leave the temporarily occupied territory. These actions fall under the article on collaboration.

In addition, the 'official' actively played the role of a propagandist, repeatedly giving interviews to pro-Russian media. In his speeches, he disseminated pseudo-historical narratives to justify the occupation of the region, in particular, the alleged 'historical affiliation' of Kherson region settlements with Russia. He also praised the transition of educational institutions to Russian standards, which is a violation of the article on justification of armed aggression.
