Preparations to build a modern wastewater treatment system near Odesa

A large-scale reconstruction of the sewerage system is being prepared in the village of Prylymanske, in the Ovidiopol district of Odesa region.

The goal of the project is to reduce environmental pollution and ensure effective treatment of domestic wastewater.

The project envisages the construction of two sewage pumping stations, wastewater tanks, treatment facilities, diesel generators, process equipment, and other necessary facilities. The heart of the system will be four modern BOSOF deep treatment plants, which will treat up to 200 cubic meters of wastewater per day before discharging it into the Tatarska Balka.

According to experts, the project complies with all environmental standards, and its implementation will not have a harmful impact on the life and health of residents. The customer of the works is the Department of Capital Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Avanhardivka Village Council.

The expected cost is UAH 33 million. Funding has not yet been confirmed.

Meanwhile, the Artsyzka community in Odesa Oblast has begun a large-scale reconstruction of its sewage treatment plant, which has long been in disrepair. The total cost of the reconstruction project is UAH 82 million. The program is funded with the support of the European Investment Bank and the Government of Ukraine, which have already allocated UAH 69 million. An additional UAH 13 million will come from the local budgets of Odesa Oblast and the Artsyz community.

The tender for the reconstruction of sewage facilities for full biological treatment was announced by the Artsyz City Council on August 29.

In September 2024, an auction was held in the format of open bidding with special features. It was attended by only one participant, Cortakoz Limited Liability Company, which offered to carry out the reconstruction for UAH 79 million 877 thousand. This company became the winner. The city council signed an agreement with it on October 10.
