Point development of Crimean coastal cities led to accidents on heating mains

Residents of the annexed Crimea have been complaining about heating interruptions. The main reason for this is the spotty construction of coastal cities and Simferopol, which has led to regular accidents on heating mains.

According to the Crimean branch of the international campaign for the de-occupation of Crimea #LiberateCrimea, the heating season in Simferopol began on October 18, but regular accidents on heating mains lead to frequent power outages.

"We should not blame the organizations responsible for heat supply. The fact is that the large-scale spot development of Simferopol and other popular Crimean cities has led to an increased load on heating networks that simply cannot withstand it, which has caused constant accidents," the activists say.

In their opinion, it is necessary to urgently introduce a ban on spot construction in Simferopol, otherwise problems with heat, water and electricity supply cannot be avoided.

"They will only increase, because the current systems are not designed for such rapidly growing loads," the Crimean branch of the international campaign for the de-occupation of Crimea #LiberateCrimea says.

The Second International Conference "Crimea Global. Understanding Ukraine through the South". The conference will be dedicated to deepening the dialogue between Ukraine and the countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the current situation in Ukraine, its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity, discuss ways to support the Ukrainian Formula for Peace, as well as the restoration of justice, global food security, Ukraine's success in the Black Sea and the human rights situation.

Earlier, representatives of Argentina, including Lilia Lemoyne, a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Argentina, and Ivan Dubois, Advisor to the President of Argentina on Institutional Relations, expressed support for the territorial integrity and the need to restore Ukraine's sovereignty over the territories occupied by Russia.

In addition, Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović-Burić said that Russia's annexation of Crimea was "the end of a certain era" that turned into an aggressive war against Ukraine. According to her, bringing Russia to justice is a key element of ensuring stability.

"The central aspect of this problem is to document all the crimes and damages caused by Russia to Ukraine," emphasized Pejcinovic-Buric.
