Passengers did not get to Kherson by train due to shelling of the railroad track

During the shelling, Russian occupants damaged the railroad tracks between Kherson and Mykolaiv.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

The post says that due to the damage to the tracks, trains to Kherson will arrive in Mykolaiv. Passengers will be transported to the final station by buses that have been allocated in Kherson. The company also thanked the Kherson Regional Military Administration for its support and prompt response to the situation.

As Intent 's correspondent was told by the Kherson MVA's Media and Public Relations Department, the local administration also provided a bus to help people get from Mykolaiv to Kherson comfortably. It has more than 40 seats for passengers.

The press service added that all 78 passengers of the company to Kherson will be delivered to their destination with the maximum possible comfort. The report says that railroad repair crews have already begun restoration work. The company plans to restore rail service before the train departs for Kyiv.

For his part, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that over the past day, Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Chornobaivka, Mykilske, Inzhenerne, and Prydniprovske, Veletenskoye, Kizomys, Bilozerka, Shyroka Balka, Tomyna Balka, Rozlyv, Novodmitrivka, Oleksandrivka, Stanislav, Sofiyivka, Zymivnyk, Beryslav, Shlyakhove, Novooleksandrivka, Mylove, Novovorontsovka, Lvov, Odradokamyanka.

During the shelling, the Russian occupiers hit a cell tower, two educational institutions, an administrative building; residential areas of the region's settlements, including 9 high-rise buildings and 29 private houses. The occupiers also attacked critical and energy infrastructure, damaging a power line, gas pipeline, gas station, private garages and cars.

Two people were killed and seven others were injured as a result of Russian aggression.

Railroad workers have completed the restoration of damaged infrastructure due to enemy shelling on the section between Mykolaiv and Kherson. Trains will run as scheduled.
