Also, on October 9, Russian troops attacked the Halytsynivska community with FPV drones. In the village of Lymani, a private home and a retail establishment were damaged. No one was injured.
The “Banderole” is a Russian jet-powered strike drone whose characteristics resemble those of a small cruise missile. The Russian army uses it to strike Ukrainian targets. The drone’s reported speed ranges from 400 to 500 kilometers per hour.
The Mykolaiv region had previously also been hit by Russian Shahed and “Molniya” drones. As a result of a strike on the village of Novokyivka, two children —aged three months and one year—were injured.
The occupiers had also attacked the region in the preceding days. Specifically, on October 7, the Pervomaiskyi district came under fire, where a 63-year-old woman was injured.
Private homes, cars, and a retail store were also damaged. The day before, an FPV drone attacked a civilian vehicle in the village of Dmytrivka, injuring a man and a woman.
