Despite the temporary occupation and difficult security conditions, the educational network of the Oleshky territorial community continues to operate in a full-fledged remote format.
The results of the educational process in the community are described in the public report of the head of the Oleshky MVA Tetiana Hasanenko for 2025.
Currently, all general secondary education institutions of the community are integrated into a single Ukrainian educational space, providing education for children living in the territories controlled by Ukraine, as well as abroad or under occupation.
The Oleshky community continues to provide access to Ukrainian education for its students. In the 2025/2026 academic year, 1482 students are taking distance learning courses, with 146 teachers working with them. This format allowed children who have the status of internally displaced persons, are abroad or remain in the temporarily occupied territory to maintain contact with their home schools.
For comparison, at the time of the full-scale invasion, 4300 school-age children lived in the community, and in the spring of 2023, 3400 students were studying remotely. The effectiveness of the work is also confirmed by last year's figures, when 359 graduates of grades 9 and 11 of the Oleshky community received certificates of basic and complete secondary education through the Unified State Electronic Database on Education.
A separate achievement of the community is the work of the Oleshky Children's Music School, which currently remains the only out-of-school art educational institution in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast that continues to operate remotely. In the current academic year, 48 children are receiving art education here, for whom a pop singing class has recently been opened. The school's teaching staff consists of 13 teachers, one of whom is currently defending the country in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
