The State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine has signed an agreement with Automagistral-Pivden LLC for the overhaul of a section of the highway from Lviv to Rava-Ruska.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro electronic procurement system.
Avtomagistral-Pivden became the winner after agreeing to work for UAH 459 million 330 thousand.
The repair involves the construction of truck parking areas with 270 parking spaces for trucks in Rava-Ruska. Three companies took part in the bidding. In addition to Avtomagistral-Pivden LLC, Onur Construction International LLC and Azerbaijan's AzVirt MMC took part in the auction.
The modernization of the Rava-Ruska checkpoint is one of two additional parking facilities being implemented in the Lviv region as part of an infrastructure project under the CEF program (Connecting Europe Facility). The project, which will be financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, will last for two years.
Automagistral-Pivden LLC is one of the largest contractors of the Big Construction. According to YouControl, the company has earned more than UAH 159 billion from public tenders. The company is constantly under the scrutiny of law enforcement and is involved in criminal proceedings, including the UAH 1.6 billion reconstruction of the Ivanivskyi overpass in Odesa.
In January, the Capital Construction Department of the Odesa City Council canceled the decision to select the winners in the tender for the reconstruction of the emergency section of the stormwater collector from Buffer Pond to Shchogolev Street.
