RAI, the Italian public broadcaster, has released an investigative film about former mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov and Attilio Magliani, the ambassador of Odesa to the Italian Republic.

In their film, the journalists point out that Attilio Mulliani has no official diplomatic title in his home country.

In addition, RAI journalists recalled that Attilio Mulliani was also involved in an investigation by the Reggio Calabria Anti-Mafia Office, but he was not charged.

"Today they are sitting at the reconstruction tables, just as they were at the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine held last summer in Rome, where they met behind closed doors with the Minister of Culture Alessandro Giulli," the authors of the investigation note.

It should be noted that Attilio Magliani was also an advisor to Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

RAI (Radiotelevisione Italiana, until 1954 the name RAI stood for Radio Audizioni Italiane) is a national public television and radio company in Italy. It is one of the 23 founding companies of the European Broadcasting Union.

The Italian journalists also reminded that the former mayor of Odesa is also involved in several criminal investigations into corruption as a suspect, and is also under house arrest in a case of negligence during the September 30 tragedy, when severe weather caused deaths.

"Gennadiy Trukhanov, the mayor of the city for the past 11 years, is under investigation for corruption and is currently under house arrest in another case," RAI journalists note.

Attilio Magliani is also a friend of Hennadiy Trukhanov, and together with former Italian consular correspondent Esposito Vincenzo, he owns the Odesa-based company ROSS INVEST, co-founded by the Bereg Group company of former deputy head of the Odesa Regional Council Oleh Radkovsky.

In early December, the governments of Ukraine and Italy signed an agreement providing for an interest-free loan of 30 million euros from the Italian government for the construction of a new medical building at the Odesa Regional Children's Hospital.

However, in early November, Ivan Liptuga , then director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture and Marketing of the Odesa City Council, said that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had not yet ratified a grant agreement with Italy to restore Odesa's cultural heritage, which provides for the allocation of 32 million euros to restore the city's architectural monuments affected by Russian aggression. The project involves the restoration and preservation of monuments in the historic center of Odesa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The objects to be restored include: Odesa National Art Museum, the Zontag House, the Palace of Marriages, and the Philharmonic Building.
