Odesa Region Ranked Fifth by Number of Millionaire Construction Companies

The YC.Market analytical team counted 363 companies in Odesa region with a total revenue of more than UAH 1 million.

In total, there are 5,997 companies in Ukraine in the analysts' sample.

In addition to Odesa region, the highest concentration of such companies is in five other regions: Kyiv - 1,633 companies, Dnipropetrovska oblast - 544 companies, Kyiv region - 536 companies, Lviv region - 532 companies. The number of such companies in Kharkiv region is slightly lower than in Odesa region - 319 companies. In total, there are 3,927 companies in these regions, or 65.5% of the sample. It should be noted that most construction companies from Odesa region are concentrated in the regional center - 296 companies.

In Mykolaiv region, there are 129 millionaire companies in the construction sector, and in Kherson region, which is controlled by Ukraine, there are 24 such companies.

The average level of concentration is formed by 12 regions with the number of companies ranging from 100 to 300. This group includes some regions with stronger dynamics in residential and non-residential construction: Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Rivne, and Volyn regions. The lowest concentration of companies is expected to be characteristic of areas with the most difficult security conditions, the consequences of hostilities or temporary occupation. Luhansk region, the city of Sevastopol and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea have zero values within the set criteria. The minimum non-zero values are in Kherson and Donetsk regions.

Meanwhile, Mykolaiv continues to be one of the most affordable cities in Ukraine in terms of prices for private houses, although housing prices have risen over the year. At the same time, Odesa is rapidly rising in price, and Kherson region has some of the lowest prices in the country due to the security situation.
