Odesa region among the leaders in terms of the number of new companies

Odesa region ranked fifth in terms of the number of new companies registered in the third quarter of 2025.

According to YC.Market analysts, 452 new companies were registered in the region.

In the third quarter of 2025, the largest number of new companies was registered in Kyiv - 2,805. The capital traditionally holds the lead in terms of entrepreneurial activity. Lviv region also demonstrates high dynamics - 660 companies, followed by Dnipro region - 563 companies, and Kyiv region - 504.

In contrast, the lowest number of new company registrations was recorded in Donetsk region - 14 companies, Kherson - 15, Chernihiv - 70, Chernivtsi - 88, and Sumy - 92. This indicates significant regional differences in the pace of entrepreneurial recovery, caused by both the hostilities and logistical and infrastructure constraints. The number of new companies in Mykolaiv region was 147.

In the third quarter of 2025, Ukrainian businesses were most actively registered in the wholesale trade sector - 2,971 new companies. This sector traditionally holds the lead due to its wide representation in the economy. Information technology is in second place with 2,586 newly registered companies, reflecting the continuation of IT expansion even in wartime. The real estate sector closes the top three with 2,214 new business registrations.

The top 5 also includes transportation and logistics (1,943 companies) and construction (1,885 companies), which reflects the revival in the transportation and construction sectors. This is followed by agriculture (1,565), other services (1,131), retail (1,89), food processing (843), and machine building (725). The top ten demonstrates a broad sectoral diversification of business activity and a desire to restore key areas of the economy.
