Tax authorities to inspect one hundred companies in Odesa region

Odesa region ranked third in terms of the number of companies to be inspected by the State Tax Service by the end of 2025. Among the regions of the South, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions will also be inspected.

This is evidenced by the data of analysts of the monitoring service Opendatabot.

The State Tax Service has planned to conduct 122 additional audits by the end of 2025. In total, almost 5,000 audits are planned under the updated plan for 2025. In 79% of cases, the audits will concern companies. By the end of the year, the Tax Service has to conduct at least 1391 audits. From October to December, 11 companies from various financial and industrial groups and 10 more companies related to them will be inspected. The list also includes 13 businesses included in the Opendatabot 2025 Index.

In September, the tax authorities updated the schedule of inspections of companies and entrepreneurs. According to the new data, 4908 inspections are planned for 2025, which is 122 more than in the previous schedule. At the same time, some companies were excluded and others were added. 79% of inspections are for companies (3,881), 21% are for individual entrepreneurs (1,027). Most inspections are scheduled for December - 482.

By the end of the year, it is planned to inspect 1016 companies (73%), 42 financial institutions and non-residents (3%), 268 individual entrepreneurs (19.3%) and 65 businesses with questions about personal income tax, military duty and unified social tax (4.7%). Among the companies in the plan are those that are no longer in business: 9 companies have bankruptcy cases filed, another 9 are in a state of suspension, and 4 have been officially closed.

Most of the inspections will be conducted in the wholesale trade (272 or 24%), agriculture (119 or 11%), food production (76 or 7%), warehousing and logistics (64 or 6%), and retail (49 or 4%) sectors.

One in five inspections will take place in Kyiv - 219. This is followed by Dnipro region - 122 (11%), Odesa region - 114 (10%), Lviv region - 79 (7%), and Poltava region - 60 (5.4%). The plan also includes Mykolaiv and Kherson regions in the South, which are included in the inspection schedule in the appropriate proportions.

From October to the end of the year, 11 companies from various financial and industrial groups, 10 more related companies, and 13 businesses from the Opendatabot 2025 Index will be inspected.

In the first half of 2025, 18,277 new companies were registered in Ukraine, of which 1,198 were in Odesa region. By this indicator, Odesa region ranked fifth in the country. Among other southern regions: 425 companies were registered in Mykolaiv, and 63 in Kherson.
