In Odesa, police are investigating the circumstances of a man's injury on the territory of a military recruitment center. Following a complaint about the beating, law enforcement officers conducted a search and seized body cameras, electronic media, magazines, and even handcuffs.

This was reported by Intent with reference to the decision of the Primorsky District Court of Odesa.

According to the investigation, on May 25, a resident of Mykolaiv region appealed to the police. He reported that on the evening of May 24, an unidentified man in military uniform inflicted bodily harm on him on the territory of the assembly point for persons liable for military service in Odesa.

After the incident, the victim was taken to the Bessarabian Multidisciplinary Hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with broken ribs, a ruptured right lung and a pneumothorax. The man's condition was assessed as serious.

Investigators believe that material evidence relevant to the investigation could have remained on the territory of the collection point. For this reason, law enforcement officers conducted an urgent search of the premises of the collection point located on the territory of the Odesa Regional Center for Socially Significant Diseases, a municipal non-profit enterprise, on Leontovycha Street.

During the search, officers seized equipment and documentation from the offices. In particular, the investigators found a box with six Boblov Body Cameras, instruction logs and recorders, as well as digital information carriers.

In addition, a 1 terabyte hard drive, a card reader and cables for copying information were seized from the office. In addition, one of the officers voluntarily gave law enforcement officers black handcuffs with appropriate markings.

Investigators recognized all the seized items as material evidence in the criminal proceedings. Law enforcement officers stated that the equipment and documents may contain information about the circumstances of the incident and help identify the persons involved.

The court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and seized the seized property. The ruling states that the arrest is necessary to preserve evidence and prevent its destruction, damage or concealment. Investigators also plan to recover deleted information and examine digital data from the seized devices. The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing.

Also in May, a group of people attacked the military personnel of the TCC and JV in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and took away a mobilized man at gunpoint.
