From rebuilding damaged housing to energy independence strategies, Odesa's executive committee has adopted a package of decisions that will determine the city's life during the war. The executive committee's priorities include direct support for business and updating transportation and language policies.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council.

On April 23, the executive committee of the Odesa City Council convened for a regular meeting of the executive committee, which will consider a wide range of issues, from the transfer of property and transportation to business support and compensation for the consequences of the war.

The agenda includes decisions that directly affect the city's infrastructure, economy and social sphere. In particular, it is planned to establish a commission to accept vehicles transferred to Odesa from another community, as well as to prepare decisions on the transfer of housing to municipal ownership. A separate block deals with compensation to residents for property damaged as a result of the war, which remains one of the most sensitive issues for citizens.

The previous decision on setting tariffs for the use of paid parking lots in the city was also amended. It is about revising the approaches to calculating the cost of parking.

In addition, the city council will consider a draft decision to approve the concept of development of Odesa's bicycle infrastructure. This document should define further steps to create a convenient and safe network of bicycle lanes in the city.

The executive committee also considered changes to the tariff policy in the field of paid parking and the concept of bicycle infrastructure development, which should determine the further transformation of urban space. Significant attention will be paid to economic initiatives, ranging from financial support for condominiums through energy efficiency programs to expanding mechanisms to help small and medium-sized businesses, including compensation for losses due to the war, support for relocated businesses, and entrepreneurship promotion.

The social block includes decisions on the transfer of premises for psychosocial support centers and assistance to IDPs in resolving housing issues. At the same time, the city plans to update its approach to outdoor advertising, develop cultural heritage, and repair historic buildings of educational institutions.

Separate issues relate to the development of the Ukrainian language in the urban environment, the transfer of property to military and physical education institutions, and the implementation of energy independence programs. All these decisions form a comprehensive policy of the city in wartime and recovery.

On April 14, the executive committee of the Odesa City Council met to resolve one issue. It was about the transfer of fuel to a volunteer unit of the Odesa City Territorial Community.
