The first session of the Odesa City Council this year was postponed from February 11 to February 25, and this is the second time.
Officially, the city council did not announce the postponement, but Intent contacted the deputies.
In particular, the information about the postponement of the meeting was confirmed to Intent by deputies Oleksandr Slavsky, Oleksiy Asaulenko and Zhanna Mandrychenko. Both deputies expressed dissatisfaction with such processes.
The Intent is traditionally preparing to broadcast its meetings online. Meanwhile, at least one issue that could have caused discussions in the session hall was decided not to be submitted to the session for consideration. It is the project for the maintenance and reconstruction of the City Garden, which was approved by the executive committee of the Odesa City Council on January 18 and in which the deputies did not include the territory of the Summer Theater.
On January 23, acting Odesa Mayor Ihor Koval ordered the postponement of the Odesa City Council session. The deputies were convened not on January 28, as previously planned, but on February 11.
The currently published tentative agenda includes 115 draft decisions, most of which relate to land relations. However, the agenda currently includes a block of issues on taxes and fees that has not yet been filled with draft decisions, so it is possible that there will be more.
Earlier, the draft Strategy for the Development of the Territorial Community of the city until 2027 was presented in Odesa. The strategic vision of community development, as the main section of the document, has been transformed into five strategic goals, which include 24 operational goals, and those, in turn, 233 tasks in 56 areas of the city's life. On January 28, the Odesa Development Strategy until 2027 is to be considered by the deputies of the Odesa City Council.
