Occupiers attacked bomb disposal teams and a gas station in the Kherson region: there are casualties

Over the past day, Russian troops continued their heavy shelling of the Kherson region, using artillery, mortars, drones, and ballistic weapons. Two people were killed and 16 others were wounded as a result of the attacks.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

More than 40 settlements in the region came under enemy fire, including Kherson, Beryslav, Stanislav, Komyshany, Darivka, Novoraysk, Tyaginka, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Kachkarivka, Chervone, and others.

According to the head of the Regional State Administration, Russian troops targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential buildings. As a result of the shelling, six high-rise buildings and nine private homes were damaged. The occupiers also destroyed a gas station, a cell tower, an office building, agricultural equipment, and private vehicles.

In addition, 16 people were evacuated from liberated communities in the region over the past 24 hours.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office added that one of the day’s most tragic incidents was a missile strike near the village of Novopetrivka. Around 1:00 p.m., Russian forces launched a ballistic strike on an area where specialists from a non-governmental organization were conducting humanitarian demining operations.

As a result of the attack, a 24-year-old man was killed, and five other people sustained injuries of varying severity.

Also in Kherson, four local residents were injured as a result of attacks by Russian drones. Two more people sustained serious injuries after an enemy drone struck a civilian gas station.

Law enforcement authorities have opened criminal cases under articles on war crimes in connection with these latest attacks. Prosecutors and investigators continue to document the consequences of the Russian shelling.

Earlier, in the Korabelny district of Kherson, Russian troops attacked vehicles belonging to a UN humanitarian mission using a drone.

Additionally, Russian forces attackeda hospitalin Bilozirka, Kherson Oblast, with artillery and FPV drones. Two nurses and a hospital employee were injured in the shelling, and the hospital building and nearby residential homes were damaged.

Earlier, Intent reported that Russian troops had used more than 12,000drones in the Kherson sector since early May. Strike drones, which the enemy is deploying en masse, currently pose the greatest threat to Ukrainian defenders.
