In Mykolaiv, the cost of a service used by both businesses and city residents has been revised. The new rate is set to take effect in early September and will exceed the previous price, which was established back in 2020.

This is indicated in a draft resolution by the Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council.

In Mykolaiv, plans are in place to set a centralized wastewater disposal rate for Nibulon Shipbuilding Plant LLC at 8.62 hryvnia per cubic meter, including VAT. The decision is set to take effect on September 1, 2026.

According to the draft resolution, the tariff excluding value-added tax will be 7.18 hryvnia per cubic meter. The tariff structure includes a production cost of 6.90 hryvnia, as well as a 4% profit margin based on working capital—0.276 hryvnia per cubic meter.

The largest portion of production costs is salaries—158,170 hryvnias per year, or 3.58 hryvnias per cubic meter. Electricity for operational needs is budgeted at 45,740 hryvnias, with an additional 66,330 hryvnias allocated for depreciation of fixed assets.

The annual planned volume of wastewater disposal was set at 44,190 cubic meters.

The explanatory note states that the tariff revision is necessary to regulate the relationship between SSZ “Nibulon” LLC and MKP “Mykolaivvodokanal.” This refers to wastewater discharge through the company’s sewage pumping station into the municipal utility’s networks from consumers of PrJSC “Mykolaiv Thermal Power Plant,” residents of apartment buildings on Zavodska Street, and the shipbuilding plant.

The previous tariff for the company was set by a decision of the executive committee back in January 2020 at 7.49 hryvnia per cubic meter. Thus, the proposed rate of 8.62 hryvnia represents an increase of approximately 15%.

The draft also provides for the repeal of the Executive Committee’s decision dated January 22, 2020, which established the tariff for the company.

It is noted that the future costs of the municipal utility “Mykolaivvodokanal” associated with providing the service will henceforth be included in the company’s corresponding rate.

In July, the Executive Committee set new rates for household waste management services for the municipal enterprises “Obriy-DKP” and “Mykolaivkomtrans.”
