A specialized rehabilitation facility for military personnel is planned to be set up in Pivdenoukrainsk, Mykolaiv Oblast.

According to the executive committee of the Pivdenoukrainsk City Council, the meeting was attended by local officials, deputies, representatives of medical institutions and philanthropists.

City Council Secretary Denys Kravchenko emphasized that the community does not have sufficient resources to fully provide rehabilitation for veterans, so it is important to attract government subventions and donor funding.

The idea to create a rehabilitation facility arose in 2023. The possibility of placing it on the basis of a multidisciplinary hospital or primary health care center is currently being considered. An important factor is the availability of premises and medical specialists who can provide physical rehabilitation.

The meeting also discussed the need for significant resources to renovate the premises, purchase equipment and attract qualified specialists. Svitlana Boyko, a representative of the Red Cross, said that the organization has equipment that can be used for the future rehabilitation center.

To speed up project implementation, the meeting participants decided to meet every two weeks to agree on details. Thanks to the joint work of the authorities, doctors, and philanthropists, the community will have a modern center to help defenders.

Recently, Mykolaiv Oblast considered a comprehensive program of social support for war veterans and their families for 2025-2027. This program is aimed at facilitating the process of veterans' adaptation to civilian life and honoring their heroism.

Meanwhile, the Mykolaiv specialists completed a week-long physical rehabilitation training in Lutsk. The training participants not only gained new knowledge but also established professional contacts for further cooperation. The skills gained will help improve the quality of rehabilitation for military personnel in Mykolaiv Oblast.
