New acting deputy mayor appointed in Odesa

A new deputy mayor has been appointed in Odesa to be responsible for the work of the council's executive bodies. Volodymyr Krylenko will hold the position until a new mayor is appointed.

The corresponding order of the acting mayor of Odesa, Igor Koval, was published by the press service of the city council.

A new acting deputy mayor has been appointed in Odesa. Volodymyr Krylenko will temporarily hold the position from February 19, 2026, until a permanent leader is appointed. Mr. Krylenko has been appointed acting deputy mayor for the activities of the council's executive bodies. The official receives a salary in accordance with the staffing table.

The appointment was based on Krylenko 's own application and the recommendation of First Deputy Mayor Oleksiy Filatov. His tasks include coordinating the work of the council's executive bodies and ensuring the functioning of the city administration until a permanent deputy is elected.

In January, acting Odesa Mayor Koval dismissed Serhiy Gurov, head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Odesa City Council. According to the document, the official left by mutual agreement. Gurov was appointed to the position in March 2025.

Odesa also has a new deputy mayor, Alla Bekh, who will be responsible for social protection, economic development, and auditing the city hall. She has experience in state audit and the fiscal service.

Last December, Natalia Soynikova, who had previously been the deputy head of the Department of Internal Policy of Odesa City Council, was appointed as the director of the Department. She was also in charge of the youth policy department. Her boss, Oleksandr Zhiltsov, was fired after he wrote a letter of resignation.
