As reported by Municipal Enterprise "Nikolaevelektrotrans", now the drivers will have to pass an exam at the Regional Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, after which they will officially join the company's staff.

Yuriy Smetana, director of the utility, thanked the graduates for their choice of profession and emphasized that the company continues to train new specialists to provide the city with tram and trolleybus drivers.

Liudmyla Alpeieva, Deputy Director of Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center, also congratulated the graduates. She emphasized that the graduation of new drivers will contribute to the development of public transport and improve the quality of transportation in the city.

The training center of Mykolaivlectrotrans continues to recruit tram drivers. The program provides free training, a stipend of UAH 12,000 per month, official employment and social guarantees.

Tram No. 1058 has recently returned to Mykolaiv's routes after a major overhaul. Earlier it was presented on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of tram traffic in the city, and now it has passed all the necessary tests and received permits for operation.

Earlier, Yuriy Smetana said that the total losses of the company have already exceeded UAH 180 million, and the amount is approaching UAH 200 million.

In addition, the city of Mykolaiv has decided to expand the network of city electric transport routes. According to the changes, there will be a new trolleybus route No. 8 connecting Budivelnykiv Street with the Matviyivka neighborhood. The length of the route is 27 kilometers and the full circle length is 49 kilometers.

In December last year, the city launched a new trolleybus route No. 1, connecting two remote neighborhoods - Severnyi and Kulbakino. Four modern PTS trolleybuses with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers operate on this route. The schedule is designed to accommodate peak hours to ensure comfortable passenger transportation.
