A new regime of power outages has been introduced in Mykolaiv district of Mykolaiv region due to limited grid capacity.

According to Mykolaivoblenergo, the previous optimistic forecast for the schedules did not materialize.

Power engineers explained that it is currently impossible to ensure the supply of electricity according to the 3 hours in 3 hours scheme. As a result, the addresses that were left without electricity as a result of the hostilities were redistributed into four local queues.

The blackouts are carried out in a circle: first, the first line is turned off, then the second, third and fourth. Each stage has 2 hours with power supply and 6 hours without power.

In addition, the agency added that as of 10:30 a.m. on April 30, the second day of Shahed drones strikes on power facilities is underway. As a result, some consumers in Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts were left without electricity.

Due to the damage to the power grids, the power company was forced to introduce emergency blackouts.

The company emphasizes that the situation remains difficult, so residents are asked to use electricity as sparingly as possible when it is available.

Power companies assure that they are working to restore stable power supply to the affected communities.

Recently, bad weather struck Mykolaiv region, damaging power lines and causing massive blackouts.

As a reminder, on the morning of April 16, Russian troops struck at the energy infrastructure of Mykolaiv region, which led to large-scale power outages.

Earlier, Intent wrote that on March 18, hourly power outages were introduced in Mykolaiv amid an emergency in the power system.

The morning attack of Russian troops on Mykolaiv on February 22 damaged energy infrastructure facilities. The occupiers used Shahed attack drones, which led to large-scale blackouts in the city.

According to preliminary data, about 16,000 customers were left without electricity. Work is currently underway to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and restore power. It is reported that there were no casualties. Specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and restore power.
