Bad weather has hit the Mykolaiv region, with strong winds damaging power lines and causing widespread blackouts.
According to Mykolaivoblenergo, thousands of residents of Mykolaiv and other towns and villages in the region were left without power.
The power company notes that it is currently recording both single and multiple emergency requests from consumers.
Specialists have already begun emergency repair work. All available crews are involved in eliminating the consequences of the bad weather.
The timeframe for the full restoration of power supply has not yet been specified.
In his turn, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych said that strong wind gusts were recorded in the city. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the yellow level of danger has been declared in most regions of Ukraine. The wind speed reaches 15-20 m/s.
Due to the bad weather, branches and trees have fallen in the city, including on the electric power lines. As a result, trolleybuses and trams may be hampered or delayed.
Mykolaivlectrotrans specialists are working to eliminate the consequences and restore stable traffic.
Residents are urged to be careful not to be near trees, advertising structures and power lines, and to limit their time outside during bad weather.
