Mykolaiv initiated the reconstruction of a school. It is planned to raise more than UAH 30 million for insulation and modernization.

This was reported by Intent with reference to the DREAM ecosystem.

Mykolaiv is planning a large-scale reconstruction of the Mykolaiv secondary school Ⅰ-Ⅲ levels No. 23 at 10 Garzionna Street. The project involves thermal sanitation of the building and creation of comfortable and safe conditions for 350 students and 45 employees.

The works include insulation of the walls, basement and external slopes, replacement of windows and doors, insulation of the basement and attic floors, as well as reconstruction of heating and ventilation systems. It is planned to automate the heating station, install fire doors, inject cracks in the brick walls, and arrange drainage and snow guards on the roof. In addition, the building will be equipped with an elevator for people with limited mobility and the wings and canopies will be repaired.

The project also includes partial replacement of the floors with monolithic sections and vertical waterproofing of the foundations. All the work should improve the building's energy efficiency, reduce noise, and provide better lighting and ventilation.

The total cost of the project is UAH 34.2 million, and funding has not yet been confirmed. The work is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

The project was initiated by the Department of Energy, Energy Saving and Implementation of Innovative Technologies of the Mykolaiv City Council. The school building is designed for 350 students and 45 employees, has three floors, reinforced concrete panels and a pitched roof covered with corrugated board.

The project is part of the Unified Project Portfolio (UPP) and aims to improve the quality of the environment, comfortable learning conditions, and energy savings.

The Novofedorivsky Lyceum is also working on repairing a radiation shelter. The reconstruction of a bomb shelter for children in Mykolaiv region is being carried out by a company known for its proximity to local authorities. Although no legal proceedings have been opened against the company, it has already been the subject of journalistic investigations. In particular, the company had previously carried out work on the arrangement of a shelter in the Berezanka school, but during heavy rain the premises were flooded.
