Over the course of the year, Mykolaivelectrotrans plans to open two new trolleybus routes, build a new trolleybus line, and repair several tram crossings. The company has already begun preparatory work, including the arrangement of a control room and the purchase of materials.

This was reported by the press service of Mykolaiv City Council.

According to Yuriy Smetana, director of Mykolaivelectrotrans, the company is working on opening two new routes and extending the existing one.

The new route No. 5 will run along Khersonske Highway to Novozavodska Street. A separate route will be available for residents of Korabelnyi district thanks to the arrangement of a control center with a charging station on Aivazovsky Street. The possibility of connecting with Raketnyi Urochyshche is also being considered.

In addition, we are planning to build a trolleybus line on Bohoyavlensky Avenue - from Avangardna Street to the Shyrokobalsky Bridge.

This line will be made by our company. We are currently implementing the project, partially purchasing materials: cable, contact wire, etc.

Other planned works include the overhaul of tram crossings on Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue (near the zoo) and on 1 Voychnyi Street near Narodnyi Sad Park.

Recently, Mykolaiv has decided to expand the network of city electric transport routes. According to the changes, a new trolleybus route No. 8 will be introduced, connecting Budivelnykiv Street with the Matviyivka neighborhood. The length of the route is 27 kilometers and the full circle length is 49 kilometers.

In December last year, the city launched a new trolleybus route No. 1, connecting two remote neighborhoods - Severnyi and Kulbakino. Four modern PTS trolleybuses with an autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers operate on this route. The schedule is designed to accommodate peak hours to ensure comfortable passenger transportation.

Mykolaiv also decided to build charging stations for public transport. More than half a million seven hryvnias have been allocated for this purpose. The work is scheduled to be completed no later than the end of May 2025.
