Mykolaiv decided to modernize the park into a modern recreation center

In Mykolaiv, with the help of a French architect, they are planning to modernize the park into a modern space. More than thirty million hryvnias are to be raised for this purpose.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream ecosystem.

It is planned to reconstruct the park located along residential buildings No. 17, 19 on Heroiv Ukrayiny Avenue. The goal of the project is to create an attractive and functional place of recreation and cultural life for residents and visitors of the city.

The reconstruction project was initiated by the Mykolaiv City Council, and the balance sheet holder is the Mykolaiv Parks utility company.

The project was developed in collaboration with French architect Martin Maurice Henri Duplantier. The concept, created between September and November 2023, did not involve the use of budget funds. The memorandum signed between Mykolaiv City Council and the French architect laid the groundwork for the implementation of European urban principles.

It is planned to restore roads, pedestrian areas and alleys using modern materials. Additional entrances and exits will be created for better accessibility, and<span>lighting and water supply systems will</span> be updated to<span>ensure a comfortable stay in the park regardless of the time of arrival.</span>

Comfortable benches and gazebos will also be installed, as well as coffee shops and open terraces. There will also be modern playgrounds with safe play areas for different age groups.

In addition, new trees, shrubs and flower beds are to be planted, and natural recreation areas are to be created. The square will be decorated with a pond, which will help maintain ecological balance and create a cozy atmosphere.

The project budget is UAH 33 million 65 thousand 113. It is planned to spend UAH 32 million 528 thousand 182 on construction, and UAH 536 thousand 931 on other capital expenditures.

The project also provides for the installation of sculptures, art installations, fountains, and other objects that will add uniqueness to the space and emphasize the cultural and historical heritage of the city.

It was also decided to create a modern park in Mykolaiv region. It is planned to reconstruct local wastewater treatment facilities and a solid waste landfill with further transformation into an ecological and energy park. The project is expected to raise UAH 180 million.

In addition, it is planned to reconstruct the boiler house into a multifunctional hub in Voznesensk. More than UAH 17 million is planned to be raised for the reconstruction of the building. The purpose of the hub is to combine resources, knowledge and support for the accelerated development of startups, business and innovation.
