Mykolaiv city authorities have planned to extend the program of reimbursement for the repair of intra-building networks until 2026. It was decided to allocate more than UAH 116 million for this purpose.

This is stated in the draft decision of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The Mykolaiv City Council has approved the extension and updating of the Program for reimbursement of costs for the restoration of intra-building water supply, sewage and heat supply networks for co-owners of apartment buildings. The program, which was in effect for 2023-2025, now extends to 2026.

The decision of the city council provides for an increase in funding - a total of UAH 116.4 million for 2023-2026, of which half is from the city budget and the other half from additional sources. Funding is distributed by year: UAH 20 million in 2023, UAH 26 million in 2024, UAH 32 million in 2025, and UAH 38.4 million is planned for 2026.

As stated in the draft decision, the program includes a number of activities: an information campaign to engage co-owners of apartment buildings, methodological support for initiative groups, and direct implementation of repairs to water supply, sewage, and heating networks. Residents participating in the program will be able to receive reimbursement for the costs of repairing common property.

Control over the implementation of the decision is entrusted to the city council's standing committees on economic policy and housing and communal services, as well as to the deputy mayor. The goal of the program is to provide city residents with uninterrupted water and heat supply and improve the technical condition of in-building networks.

In 2024, 23 condominiums joined the energy saving program, raising over UAH 81 million. The city budget compensated them for about UAH 9 million. As part of the program, they overhauled heating systems, insulated facades, attics and basements, installed individual heating points and heat distributors, and replaced windows.
