In Mykolaiv, in honor of Aviation Day, those who defended the city from the Russian occupation army and still continue to repel the enemy's invasion will be honored.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.

This time, Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych presented first-class awards "For the Defense of Mykolaiv" to the soldiers of the 10th Naval Aviation Brigade named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Ihor Bedzai.

As the soldiers continue to defend our country from Russian aggression, all the awards will be handed over to each defender later.

The mayor thanked the soldiers for their service and expressed gratitude from all Mykolaiv residents, noting that he received a valuable gift from the brigade - their flag.

"I received a very important and valuable gift from the brigade - their flag. Thank you for your service from all Mykolaiv residents! Glory to Ukraine!" the mayor addressed our defenders.

Recently, a brigade of Mykolaiv marines was solemnly awarded by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, for courage and bravery on the battlefield.

In July, the 36th Marine Brigade celebrated its ninth anniversary. On this occasion, Mykolaiv authorities presented the brigade with special gifts - a batch of drones.

The soldiers of the 79th Brigade, who showed courage and heroism in the heavy battles for Maryinka and Novomykhailivka, were also recognized with state and departmental awards. Among them are the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree, the Order "For Courage," III degree, presidential medals "For Military Service to Ukraine," and others.

In addition, on the occasion of the foundation of the 188th Territorial Defense Battalion in Mykolaiv, veterans of the full-scale war, terrorist fighters, defenders of Ukraine and volunteers were awarded honorary awards and certificates.
