Mykolaiv announces bidding for waste disposal for 5 million

Mykolaiv is looking for a contractor to handle waste disposal. Five million hryvnias have been allocated from the budget for this purpose.

This is according to the Prozorro electronic public procurement system.

The Mykolaiv Housing and Maintenance Department has announced a tender for the purchase of waste management services. The expected value of the procurement is UAH 5 million.

The auction is scheduled for December 4, 2024. The minimum price reduction step is 50 thousand hryvnias.

The tender offer must be accompanied by a security in the form of an electronic bank guarantee in the amount of UAH 150 thousand.

The work must be carried out within a year, from January 1 to December 31, 2025, inclusive. Payment will be made after the works are completed within 15 days.

A total of 20 thousand cubic meters of waste will need to be disposed of. The contractor will have to take waste from Mykolaivska PES facilities to the municipal landfill or other authorized landfills. Separate waste collection shall be carried out in containerized containers.

The Contractor shall carry out:

• loading, transportation and disposal of solid waste;
• loading, transportation of bulky and repair waste;
• cleaning of container sites and places of solid waste loading after unloading from containers into a special vehicle;
• Provide the service area with the required number of containers for household waste storage;
• ensure the proper technical, sanitary and aesthetic condition of containers for solid waste.

According to the documentation, if only one offer is submitted, the electronic procurement system will not evaluate such a tender offer and will determine it as the most cost-effective. The selected contractor must provide documents confirming its compliance with the qualification requirements.

In October, the Department of Housing and Communal Services announced a tender to find a waste sorting contractor. According to the terms, the waste sorting entity has to transfer funds to the bank account of Mykolaivkomuntrans for the maintenance of the city's solid waste landfill on a monthly basis.

At the end of September, the deputies voted to approve the tender procedure for the construction of a waste sorting station. It is planned that after the tender, the winner will be engaged in the construction of the sorting line and its further operation. Also in early October, Mykolaiv received technical assistance for municipal utilities that will be used for a construction waste storage site.
