On May 28, the Korabelny district of Kherson was partially de-energized. The reason was emergency repair work at the substation, which was damaged as a result of Russian shelling.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko.

According to him, power engineers plan to partially restore power supply by 16:00 today. They promise to fully stabilize the system by the end of the week.

"Power engineers and emergency crews are working in an intensified mode to restore electricity to the homes of Kherson residents as soon as possible," noted Shanko.

Earlier, the city authorities also reported that the movement of electric vehicles would be temporarily restricted due to the repair of the overhead power line.

As a reminder, on May 3, 2026, trolleybuses were temporarily suspended in Kherson and the number of buses on city routes was significantly limited. The reason for this was the attacks by Russian troops on public transport the day before.

The Russian military also attacked a civilian car carrying employees of a local business. A 60-year-old man was killed in the attack. Five other people received injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.

Shortly after the first strike, the occupiers made a second attack. An ambulance that arrived at the scene came under fire.

In addition, in Kherson, the occupiers again attacked public transport with a drone. A shuttle bus of a municipal enterprise of the Kherson City Council was hit.

An enemy drone also hit a public transportation stop. As a result of the attack, a man was killed on the spot, who is currently being identified.

Recently, Russian troops shelled a church and a police checkpoint in Kherson region.

As a reminder, on May 14, in the Korabelny district of Kherson, Russian military attacked the vehicles of the UN humanitarian mission from a drone. The attack took place despite international norms that prohibit the shelling of humanitarian missions and civilian vehicles used to help the population.
